Minneapolis

There is an abundance of things to do and places to visit in the Minneapolis area. Minneapolis is home to many museums, theaters and exciting entertainment districts with countless restaurants. For you outdoor enthusiasts, the Minneapolis area is surrounded by many lakes, parks, and biking and walking trails. Summertime brings many art and music festivals and one of the country’s largest state fairs. Winter presents opportunities for ice skating, skiing, sledding, snowmobiling and the infamous winter activity of ice fishing. Last but not least, do not forget about Mall of America, America’s largest mall, which is located less than five miles away from our office.

Not only is Minneapolis a fun place to work, but it is a great place to live. In 2007, Minneapolis was ranked first on the 2007 Forbes list of “Most Affordable Places to Live Well.”

Within the Minneapolis office, there are three business groups, the Minneapolis Group, Retail Group and Senior Living Group. When you join one of these groups, you will have many opportunities throughout the year to team up with your coworkers. Whether it’s playing on a recreational volleyball or softball team, participating in the office cook-offs or any one of the Wellness Committees’ fun events like the step-to it challenge or learning Latin dance, there is always something going on. The people that you meet at Weis Builders are sure to become life long friends!

Chicago

No matter where your interests lie, you will be able to find what you are looking for in the “windy city”. Chicago boasts a rich diversity of cultural offerings, teams from each of the major league sports, the shopping of the Magnificent Mile, and a blossoming theatre district.

Our Chicago Group is known for its, “Work Hard, Play Hard” personality. While you can expect to work hard, you can also expect to spend many fun evenings with your new friends. There is also some healthy competition in the office among the Chicago sports team rivalries. This is especially true during the baseball season and the Cubs and White Sox. So be sure to pick your team and join in on the fun!
