We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented Preconstruction Assistant to join our Preconstruction/Estimating Department! In this role, you will have the opportunity to support our Preconstruction and Estimating Departments along with our external partners/vendors/subcontractors to ensure the preconstruction phase runs smoothly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and Maintain estimating folders
- Solicit – make phone calls on active bids
- Ensure accurate upkeep of bid history logs
- Ensure accurate keep up of the Sub/Project tracking log
- Collect and file sub bids
- Download and order plans as needed
- Complete Executive Summaries for Clients.
- Ensure bid schedule is kept up to date
- Ensure accurate keeping of estimating meeting minutes
- General support of the Preconstruction/estimating team
- Update and maintain subcontractor database and records

—Education and Training:
· High School Degree
· Post-secondary education a plus
–Knowledge and Experience:
· Minimum 2-4 years of experience in an admin role
· Relevant experience in the Construction Industry (nice to have, but not required)
· Advance MS Office experience-Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, ability to learn new software programs
–Skills and Abilities:
· Attention to detail- accuracy in correspondence, reports, and project documentation is essential.
· Interpersonal skills- Ability to interact effectively with others and work as part of a team. Strong sense of accountability. Self-starter and motivator. Takes initiative.
· Customer service- Committed to providing exceptional customer service, both internally and externally.
· Results oriented—very bottom-line oriented and can be counted on to exceed goals successfully.
