As a Project Manager at Weis Builders, you will “help make it happen” by bringing initiative, imagination, and problem solving skills to help assigned projects. Responsibilities of this position include:
- Dedication to meeting the needs and expectations of clients and potential clients
- Developing relationships with vendors by defining performance expectations and completing all buyout activities
- Maintaining cost issues, payment processes, vendor approvals, and order changes, including problem resolutions in a timely matter
- Creating baseline schedules using scheduling monitoring tools, encouraging the project team and vendors to get ahead of the schedule
- Being a project team leader by identifying and implementing actions, leveraging skills, and having project success through accountability recognition among your team
- Resolving all issues and closes projects in a timely matter, identifying new best practices and opportunities for improvement on future projects
- Planning, implementing, and enforcing expectations on safety, quality, and storm water management
- Using your market knowledge to capture opportunities and maintain client loyalty
- Modeling and following The Weis Way with clients, Associates, and vendors (responsiveness, proactive communications, exceeding expectations, support, mutually beneficial relationships).
Education and Training:
- Completed a construction degree program or equivalent experience
Knowledge and Experience:
- 5-10 years of project management experience
- Experience on multi-family residential projects
Skills and Abilities:
- Client/Customer based focus
- Knowledgeable—Understands best practices of project management
- Negotiator—Knows how to skillfully negotiate in difficult situations; settle differences with minimal objection; win concessions without damaging relationships
- Priority Focused—Focus efforts and time by identifying critical priorities; creates a focus for self and others
- Problem Solving—Use a variety of tools, techniques, and approaches to solving problems; handle pressure under difficult situations

- Communication Skills—presents themselves effectively and appropriately, able to understand different varieties of communication styles, active listener.
