Our Superintendents are essential to providing on-site supervision, administration, and coordination of our construction projects to meet the goals of our clients and architects/engineering partners.
Responsibilities
- Continuously maintain a positive working relationship with clients, architects, subcontractors, city officials and neighboring businesses
- Develop lasting relationships with clients, architects, vendors to enable future project planning and support continuous business growth
- Primary point of contact at the jobsite to work directly with City, State and Government officials, inspectors and representatives
- Ensure a safe work environment by leading safety meetings and actively participating and completing annual safety training
- Provide onsite authority to enforce safety standards
- Effectively communicate with the project team
- Maintain a keen eye on day-to-day project operations while focusing on the project’s critical path
- Work directly with the project team to maintain the project schedule
- Utilize quality control “best practices” and ensure specified quality standards
- Fiscally responsible in order to efficiently utilize labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors and other related resources
- Authority to manage on site requirements for Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Insurance, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) programs
Qualifications
- Construction Management and/or Engineering Degree or related field experience
- Proficiency in utilizing construction management software, including: CMiC and/or Procore, or similar project scheduling and management software
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexible, collaborative and a team player
- A positive attitude to mentor and motivate the project team
- Client focus and awareness of client and end-user cares and needs
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong work ethic
- Resourcefulness and proven ability to overcome project challenges
- Professional composure and demonstrated integrity
