Construction is under way on Metro Park East – 194-unit, 551-bed student housing community. The project is located adjacent to the University of Minnesota’s East Bank campus and within walking distance of the Central Corridor’s Prospect Park Station in Minneapolis, MN. To prepare the site for construction, Weis Builders razed a 1952 commercial and industrial building.

The 5-story development includes one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. The project incorporates many sustainable elements and will meet USGBC’s minimum standards for LEED Silver certification. Community amenities include a 2-level clubhouse, fitness center, cyber café with study rooms, covered bike parking spaces and exterior elevated courtyard space.
