Weis Builders started the unit renovations at the Commonwealth Apartments project located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Originally built in 1924 as The Commonwealth Hotel, designed by the esteemed architect John Nyden, the building has transitioned into a 145-unit affordable housing complex for seniors.
