Weis Builders makes the grade with completion of Lourdes High School

(Rochester, MN) The new Lourdes High School was officially introduced to the Rochester community in a dedication and blessing ceremony on Sunday, September 15th.  An open house following the ceremony gave the public an opportunity to tour the facility.  Weis Builders built Lourdes High School to meet the needs of today’s students by providing academic, spiritual, performing arts, and recreational environments.

Director of Rochester Catholic Schools, Michael Brennan, notes “It was clear Weis Builders felt that this project, our new school home, was as much theirs as it was ours. When a company or a business exhibits such sincere levels of ownership, commitment and pride in their work, one can only be pleased with the results. Thank you Weis Builders for an excellent product, a wonderful and long-lasting relationship with Lourdes High School and above all…for helping to build our future.  Our experience with Weis Builders throughout the construction process of our new Lourdes High School was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish Weis Builders was there by our side, keeping us informed.”

Students studying the performing arts at Lourdes High School are provided with a state of the art facility that boasts the latest in amenities and technology.  Students of all performing capabilities enjoy a main theatre, rehearsal rooms, and stage preparation space.  The Athletic department provides fans with a “Spirit Shop” and seating for 1,500.  Athletes have access to a weight room, locker rooms, and health classrooms.  The Academic building serves as the main entrance to the school.  Classrooms, lecture halls, and science labs are configured into four pods and surround a two-story library/media center.  Finally, the onsite chapel provides worship space for 150 and features a semi-circle configuration, high ceilings, and stained glass windows.
